[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Pacific Future Energy filed with federal and provincial regulators on June 17, 2016 its updated formal “Project Description,” which provides the public with information about its plans to build the world’s greenest bitumen refinery in northwest BC.
A draft version of the project description was submitted to First Nations in December 2015 and to the regulators on January 14, 2016. The updated version below takes into account all comments and feedback received prior to June 17, 2016
The filing means that the BC Environmental Assessment Office (BCEAO) and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) set in motion a government-and-public review process that could take up to two years.
The CEAA confirmed on August 12, 2016, that a federal environmental assessment is required for our project.
The BCEAO confirmed on July 4, 2016 that our project qualifies for a provincial environmental review. (Updates on the review processes.)
